What I Realized During the Partial Solar Eclipse

On September 21st, 2025, the Moon partially covered the Sun during a partial solar eclipse visible from New Zealand and Antarctica. I live in Florida, so of course, I could not see it. But I felt its energy. I only realized that today, September 23, 2025. The partial solar eclipse is about transition, release, and realignment — both in the cosmos and within ourselves. This shift in light mirrors inner shifts we can experience — opportunities to let go of old patterns, gain clarity, and step into something new. I am writing tonight to share what I realized during this eclipse.

When I created Sacred Glow, my mission was "to create intentional, beautiful offerings that spark joy, support personal growth, and invite a sense of magic into everyday life. Through crystals, amulets, and sacred objects, I aim to share energy that uplifts, empowers, and connects — while building a sustainable business that honors both purpose and prosperity." That was almost a year ago. Now, things have changed.

My Etsy shop is not profitable. I haven't made a penny in profits thus far. And that's the harsh truth of starting a brand new small business, in an already oversaturated market filled with fierce competition left and right. And I've decided, it's not worth it anymore. The long days, the restless nights, the grind, the hustle, whatever you want to call it... It's not worth it anymore. At least to me. I respect small business owners who stick with it and keep growing their business from the ground up. But that is no longer me.

Instead of going on a long rant or complaining about how tough it is out there for small business owners, here's the point of this story: Practice gratitude. Say thank you to the Universe for everything you have. As cliche as it sounds, you have to appreciate the little automatic things in life, such as being able to breathe, walk, or use your hands to create amazing things. That is the clarity I gained.

Over the coming weeks, I will be sharing more of my personal journey. There is a whole re-brand coming, and I invite you to follow along. I have wonderful things planned for my small business. I'm not giving up on that part.
