Why I Built a Minimalist Writing & Editing Service

Minimalism is more than just an aesthetic choice. It's a philosophy and is essentially based on intentionality. The idea behind Sacred Glow has always been intentionality. Being intentional with words is at the core of my writing style. Every idea I choose to convey is meticulously crafted. Every word is carefully selected to guide my reader toward clarity and understanding. No more, no less.

I remember a time when I was deeply humbled by a teaching assistant in college. Up until that moment, my ego had been inflated by years of perfect grades in English composition. I remember that event quite well. It was some sort of political philosophy course and as a political science major, I was certain I'd get the highest grade in the class. Then I received my first graded essay back.

Written in blood red ink, "fluff" was scribbled next to each paragraph I had typed. My grade was a plain zero. After that day's class ended, I sat down on the floor of a common area, and broke down in tears. I was about to fail this class. But in my mind, I had already failed myself.

After my crying session, I went home, but I was too ashamed to tell anyone about my 0. The next day, determined to make the teaching assistant read my paper one more time and reconsider, I barged into his office. Instead of arguing, we came to an agreement. My goal was simply to make the reader understand. I do remember that after that conversation, every single grade was a 90 or higher. Not because I threatened him, but because every paper after that had just one clear goal in mind: Make the reader understand. Now, everything I write has purpose. It is clear, sharp, and sophisticated. It is what I call minimalist writing. Zero fluff.

I do pride myself in my writing. I always have. It's my core talent. Friends and family often come to me asking if I can "look at" their resume or an essay for school. The success rate has been phenomenal. Now, I'm ready to share my writing and editing expertise with you.
