How I Recharge and Restore My Energy After a Busy Week


Before, during, and after the whirlwind of a busy week, I carve out sacred moments to gently recharge and restore my energy. Life’s pace can pull me in so many directions, leaving my mind cluttered and my spirit tired. That’s why I’ve learned to slow down intentionally, creating space where I can reconnect with myself and find balance. Sometimes working my full-time job and running my Etsy shop can leave me feeling tired, so it's important for me to reset and ground myself often. Each crystal in my shop is infused with healing energy, so I make sure that my mind is clear and focused on intention. Here's how I do it.


  1. Creating a Calm Space

    At my apartment, I have a small sanctuary in the living room where my altar sits. There is a soft floor pillow in front of it where I can sit comfortably. On my altar, I keep meaningful items such as candles, a selenite bowl full of crystals, a bottle of gold flakes, and so much more. When I sit in front of it, I know this is a safe space for me to relax, meditate, and re-align with the Universe. This setup helps me shift out of busy mode and into a space of peace and restoration.

  2. Meditation

    Meditation is a powerful tool that anyone can use daily or whenever. While there are many different ways to meditate, the simplest form is to just be in tune with your breath and be an observer of your thoughts. Do not judge yourself and do not get hung up on a particular thought; simply observe. If you get distracted, simply give all your focus and attention to your breath. There is no fancy breathing technique that you need to use - just focus on the inhale and the exhale. For many of us, it helps when the exhale is longer than the inhale. Try to do this every day for just 10 minutes. Even just 10 minutes of this calm practice helps me release tension, clear my thoughts, and reconnect with my inner peace.

  3. Gentle Movement & Stretching

    During the week and especially after I've been sitting at my desk all day, gentle movement helps me reconnect with my body and release built-up tension. Whether it’s some slow stretching, yoga, or a mindful walk outside, moving with intention brings a sense of ease and refreshes my spirit. It’s a way to honor my body’s needs and invite balance back into my day.

  4. Journaling to Reflect and Release

    Taking time to journal helps me process my thoughts and emotions. Writing allows me to release any lingering stress and gain clarity on what I truly need. Explore what's on your mind, and again, do not judge yourself. Reconnect with your intentions, write down positive affirmations, repeat them as many times as you like. This is your journal and for your eyes only.

  5. Restorative Sleep and Quiet Evenings

    Prioritizing restful sleep and quiet evenings is essential for recharging my energy. I create a calming bedtime routine that helps me unwind - turning off screens early, dimming the lights, and allowing myself to fully relax. This peaceful transition into rest helps restore my body and mind, so I can wake up refreshed and ready for whatever comes next.
